But the national capital really will be home to the longest lunch next month as we celebrate spring.
Canberra's Longest Lunch will be held over three hours in Glebe Park on Friday, September 9 in aid of Asthma Foundation ACT.
The picnic-style event will feature an afternoon of food, beer and wine from Canberra' traders including Pod Food, Bentspoke Brewing Co, Burrabee Farm, Four Bee Meats, Mr Papa, Natural 9, Pip and Lou, Tikka Stand and Wily Trout Wines.
