- A second crew at Ainslie Fire Station, at a cost of $600,000 this year;
- Secure bicycle parking spots in Braddon. The racks were designed by local artists as part of a local competition and come with a $20,000 price tag;
- $1 million for a six-month trial of a flexible bus service for older people in the inner north;
- A new northside healthcare centre (eventually). $3.3 million has been set aside to plan for this.
While we're talking health, the inner north will also share in $500,000 for planning for a new nurse-led walk in centre.
$1.2 million has been allocated to remove hazardous waste from Campbell Primary School (the money will be shared with Narrabundah College).
More urban renewal is also on the cards for the inner north, with land to be released this budget cycle including the Bega Flats sites opposite Canberra Centre in Reid, the Northbourne Flats along Northbourne Avenue in Braddon and Turner.
