Finding the essence at Form

It's time to slow down and focus; Sydney artist Trish Yates aims to draw your vision with her new solo show of print and 3D works just opened at Form in Queanbeyan. Her semi-abstract woodblock and monotype prints are inspired by trees and the broader landscape: "Her latest works also explore the potential of multi-plate monotypes to capture the gentle transition of colours through the passing seasons," says the gallery. "She moves off the wall into three dimensions with a series of delicate vessels echoing the free form twists and curves of fallen bark." Finding the Essence, by Trish Yates, is showing until October 30 at Form Studio and Gallery, 1/30 Aurora Avenue, Queanbeyan. Yates will be speaking about her work at the gallery on Sunday, October 23, at 2pm.
