Canberra police allege the woman threatened the driver with a weapon and demanded cash on January 8.
She was arrested later.
The woman is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court charged with attempted aggravated robbery, riding or driving a motor vehicle without consent and possessing or using a prohibited weapon without authorisation.
