A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal crash in Hughes appeared in court on Friday after her release from hospital.

Jozef Stefaniak, 24, died on Tuesday from head injuries after he was thrown from a rolling car on Yarra Glen. He was the son of long-time ACT Liberal politician Bill Stefaniak.
Police allege the driver was Kane David Kell, 21. He has been charged with speeding and culpable driving causing death. He was remanded in custody when he appeared in court earlier this week.
Mr Kell denies he was the driver, and has told police it was Mr Stefaniak who was behind the wheel.
It is alleged Mr Kell and his girlfriend, Angela Lea Smith, 33, fled the scene without checking on the welfare of Mr Stefaniak.
But police said they tracked the pair to a home in Griffith where they arrested Mr Kell and took Ms Smith to hospital.
Ms Smith, 33, appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday on crutches. She was brought into court on an alleged breach of bail following her release from the Canberra Hospital.
The alleged breach relates to a failure to report to police on separate matters not connected with the fatal crash. Ms Smith has not been charged with any offences relating to the crash.
When Ms Smith appeared in court on Friday, prosecutors did not apply to revoke her bail, but asked that the court impose a further condition that she not contact Mr Kell.
The prosecutor said there were fears Ms Smith and Mr Kell, who the court has heard are partners, would collude with each other as to who was driving the car.
However that condition was opposed by the man's Legal Aid duty lawyer, who said the pair had been arrested together sometime after the crash and so already had the opportunity to speak.
She said Ms Smith had not been charged with any offences relating to the crash.
She noted that Ms Smith had said she had a medical certificate in relation to the alleged failure to report in December.
Magistrate Robert Cook declined to impose the non-contact condition, noting in particular that the woman was not charged with any offences relating to the crash.
Ms Smith was released from custody to appear in court on a later date.
Mr Kell is to appear on January 17.
