The modern home - which previously won ACT's best home - was named National Luxury Project Home ($1-$2 million) at the Master Builders Awards in Hobart.
The property, which has achieved a six-star energy rating, features a private upstairs master suite and three large bedrooms, a super-sized garage and an outdoor life-size chessboard.
Michael Hopkins, CEO of Master Builders ACT, said the home stood out due to the quality of workmanship, notably the use of timber throughout.
It was built by Preferred Builders and designed by DNA architecture.
He said the owners, architects and builders worked well together allowing the builder to deliver on the owners' vision.
"For a Canberra builder to win at a national level is really quite unique given we make up less than five per cent of national members," Mr Hopkins said.
"That category is a really popular one with a lot of luxury homes fitting into that price bracket.
He said the awards, which saw four ACT builders walk away with awards, showed the strength of Canberra's builders and their commitment to the trade.
