But it's actually Canberra couple Mark and Anna Mallett getting their groove on ahead of three days of packed mod/soul events across the capital.
Not sure what mod/soul means? Let's take a trip back to the 1960s, when all-male bands dressed in black, thick-framed glasses, suits with super thin ties and sported the classic bowl haircut.
The music scene of the Mods was a mix of modern jazz, R&B;, psychedelic rock and soul - think The Animals (House of the Rising Sun) and The Zombies (She's Not There) in a mod sense, with The Temptations (Ain't Too Proud to Beg) bringing the soul.
Hundreds of Australian mod/soul fanatics committed to the music - and in many cases, the fashion - of the 1960s are headed to Canberra on Friday for the capital's first Mod/Soul Weekender. And more than 35 specialist DJs have been flown in from across the world to play a stack of incredibly rare 45 RPM vinyl records.
While the mod/soul scene is huge in other capital cities, it wasn't until Melburnian Mark Mallett moved to Canberra 18 months ago that the city's first soul club was formed.
Mallett was a regular at iconic Melbourne venue Cherry Bar and was devastated when he arrived in his new home town to find a lack of soul fans.
"I had no-one to share my collection of seven-inch singles with," he laughed.
"I just love the energy - the absolute feel good energy of the music. There's a massive energy behind every record.
"You've got country music that's always a bit down in the dumps, and mod/soul is about lifting you back up."
Mark founded the Capital City Soul Club and, as a DJ, began playing soul sessions at Bar Rochford. Eighteen months later, he now also plays Sunday soul sessions at the RUC in Lyneham, provides the soundtrack to Canberra District Wine events and has 450 like-minded followers on Facebook.
The Mod/Soul Weekender is the first major event of its kind for the capital.
"It's just going to be an amazing weekend of 1960s music and a chance for Canberra to really reconnect with that decade," Mark said.
"This is where it all began, there are very few genres that have pushed boundaries like the music from the 60s.
"It was political, it was about free love, it was black artists getting a chance to be on the world stage. There's never been anything like it since."
