FIVE IN ONE
The Musical of Musicals (the Musical!), presented by Everyman Theatre, has the same story presented five times in the styles of different musical theatre composers: Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jerry Herman, and Kander and Ebb. FINAL DRIVE
Ken Ludwig's farce The Fox on the Fairway finishes at Theatre 3, Repertory Lane, Acton with a matinee at 2pm and an evening show at 8pm. The Canberra Rep production is about the chairman of a golf club who risks everything on a dangerously large bet with another club. Tickets $40/$35 at the box office.
HANDMADE
Canberra's award-winning Handmade Market brings together talented artists, designers, stylists, craftspeople and gourmets all under one roof. The Handmade Market is held at the National Convention Centre and will showcase about 200 Australian designer/makers. Each event will feature local and interstate designers with new talent on display at each event. The Christmas Market is on two levels of the Convention Centre. All products on sale are Australian made and designed. Open Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. Free entry.
BOOKFAIR FAREWELL
The final Queanbeyan Charity Bookfair for 2013 is being held on Friday and Saturday December 6 and 7 at the Queanbeyan Community Centre. Crawford Street, Queanbeyan. Browse around thousands of fiction and non-fiction books, including new releases as well as vinyl records, CDs and DVDs. Funds will be donated to the Queanbeyan Senior Citizens' Association. From 10am to 2pm.

At the Capital Region Farmers Market presented by the Rotary Club of Hall at the Kosciuszko & Kuringai Pavilions, Exhibition Park, Canberra, you will be able to buy a huge range of goods direct from regional growers and producers, including fresh fruit, vegetables, coffee, horticultural supplies, meat, seafood and organic products. BRICK BY BRICK
Budding designers can create a new National Capital or replicate iconic buildings in Canberra, using Lego and Duplo blocks, at the National Capital Exhibition. This activity area is designed for people of all abilities. Timings: Duplo session 10am-11am. Lego sessions hourly 11am-5pm. SHUTE ON SCREEN
A new Australian documentary, Fallout, looks at the making of the film On the Beach, which starred Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire and Anthony Perkins, in Melbourne in 1959. It goes behind the Hollywood glamour to look at the author, Neville Shute, who wrote the best-selling book. It's on at Arc Cinema, National Film and Sound Archive at 2pm. Tickets $14/$12. WATCHING SHORTS
The 22nd Tropfest will be broadcast in Canberra at a new location, Exhibition Park. The world's largest short film festival begins with Tropfest Jr in which the ACT's Oliver Levi-Malouf is a finalist for the second year running with his film Penelo-pe's Penguin. Arena 2 at EPIC will come alive with DJ Felix, special guests, food, and the main attraction, the films of the 16 finalists for Tropfest December 2013. General admission is free but patrons who want to experience Tropfest in style can purchase a "Reserved Lawn" ticket. Seated in a prime location in front of the iiNet Big Screen, there will be sparkling wine, popcorn and other goodies. FOSSIL FUN
Can you identify which teeth belonged to which prehistoric beast? Can you identify what different animals eat by looking at their bones? Visit the National Dinosaur Museum, 6 Gold Creek Road, Nicholls, and children (and big kids) will be able to complete these fun (and educational) quizzes on our prehistoric past with the answers located throughout the museum. On completion, each child will receive a certificate and a real 50-million-year-old fossilised shark tooth to take home. Open daily 10am-5pm, with last admissions at 4.30pm. TAKE YOUR PICK
As part of the Musical Offering two very different musical groups are performing at 2.30pm in two different spaces: Polifemy (female a capella) sing a program of ninth-century Gregorian chant, anonymous mediaeval carols, Renaissance motets and traditional carols in King's Hall; and Dante Musica Viva (choir) sing Italian songs in the High Court foyer.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The Loungin' by the Lake Christmas Concert at 4.30pm (doors open 3.45pm) on the shores of Lake Ginninderra features music from Shades of Monday, The Canberra Chordsmen, Ginninderra Wind Orchestra, Last Minute Jazz and the Canberra SwingKatz. You can also have your face painted, make balloons, create some photo-booth masterpieces, and savour food from Franco's Pizzeria, Ice King Coffee & Ice Creams, Cakes n Faces Cupcakes, a sausage sizzle and chilled drinks from the BAC kiosk.
