Liberal Zed Seselja's win in the ACT Senate race has been confirmed on Tuesday by the Australian Electoral Commission.

The distribution of preferences by the commission's computer put Mr Seselja above the one-third quota of votes needed to win the second seat.
The formal declaration will be conducted in a ceremony open to the public at 2pm on Tuesday, being held for the first time at King's Hall in Old Parliament House.
The event will round off a series of firsts for this election in the ACT – the former Senate chamber at Old Parliament House was used for the first time to conduct the draw for the ACT Senate ballot paper, and the building was used for the first time as a polling place.
The commission has set the provisional quota to win an ACT Senate seat at 82,248 votes.
Before distribution of preferences, Labor’s Kate Lundy had 84,305 primary votes, Mr Seselja had 79,969 and the Greens’ Simon Sheikh had 46,772.
In this election Labor's primary vote fell by 6.4 per cent, the Liberal Party failed to make a quota in its own right and 30,000 voters opted to vote for minor parties.
The distribution of preferences proceeded only until the winner of the second seat was known.
The preferences from minor parties were distributed, expect for the Bullet Train for Australia Party and the Sex Party.
The final count was: Senator Lundy 82,248, Mr Seselja 82,659 and Mr Sheikh 52,037.
The Animal Justice Party, which had first place on the ACT Senate ballot paper, directed its preferences to the Liberal Party.
It put the Greens last in retaliation against ACT Greens MLA Shane Rattenbury, the Minister for Territory and Municipal Services, who authorised the cull of about 1450 kangaroos recently to protect rare grasslands.
The Rise Up Australia Party also directed its preferences to the Liberals. The Stable Population Party had three tickets, two with preferences for the Greens, one for the Liberals.
The other minor parties directing preferences to the Greens over the Liberal Party were Katter's Australian Party, Bullet Train for Australia, Drug Law Reform, Sex Party, Voluntary Euthanasia Party, Palmer United Party and Australian Independents.
The ACT has the highest proportion of people voting below-the-line to choose where their preferences go.
The 49,000 below-the-line ballot papers had to be entered into the commission's computer system to allow the distribution of preferences to be done.
Old Parliament House now houses the Museum of Australian Democracy, which says King's Hall was the hub of the building.
"Open to the public from the earliest days, this space was far more than just a formal function room or foyer – it came to symbolise the openness of parliamentary democracy and representative government in Australia," its website says.
"King's Hall was the place where great public ceremonies were held, politicians and journalists mingled and prime ministers brushed shoulders with ordinary citizens."
