An exhibition that is exactly what it says it is - Canberra potter Jane Crick was a prolific collector of teacups over many years, and 84 pieces from her collection will be on display, and for sale, at the Watson Arts Centre for the next week or so.

Some of the works are clearly identifiable from their maker's mark or business card, but others have a more mysterious provenance.
Sadly, Jane is no longer around to tell us their stories.
Born in England, she met her husband while working Uganda and eventually settled with him in Canberra. It wasn't until their three children were in school that she took up clay, but rapidly developed a trademark style.
She became a teacher at Canberra Potters' Society in the 1990s, and in 2001 moved to Tarago, where she ran an open studio and workshops.
She died in September last year, and half of the proceeds from sales of the teacups - all about $50 each - will go to an ovarian cancer charity in her name.
Jane Crick's Teacup Collection is at Watson Arts Centre until January 27. The gallery is open Thursday-Sunday, 10am-4pm.
