Roar youngsters Michael Zullo and Tahj Minniecon both admitted the side was fuming with itself for allowing the 83rd minute goal that provided the Jets with a 1-0 victory and continued Queenslands ordinary run at Suncorp Stadium.
Queensland must regroup in a hurry as it embarks on a testing road trip against the Melbourne and Sydney, the A-Leagues top two teams.
While the loss frustrated the Roar, Farina says spirits are high and the side had the self-belief to know if they build it, the wins will come.
Every game that you play is going to be difficult. But the manner in which were playing, if we can keep creating the chances that we have, were going to get some joy, Farina said.
The boys are looking forward to it. Two road trips are always difficult, particularly against the top two teams. It will be a good test for us. Well be definitely looking at getting something from the games.
Queenslands campaign has an eerie resemblance to last season, where the side was performing well but constantly missing the cigar.
The introduction of Robbie Kruse and Michael Zullo kick-started a run that took them to one game away from the grand final.
This time Farina doesnt have those aces up his sleeve but the continued rise of Minniecon, who was electric off the bench against Newcastle, could help the Roar turn the corner.
Its almost a mirror image of last year. I think we lost against Sydney at home and Central Coast at home and totally outplayed both of them. They jagged a gaol each and we lost both games one-nil, Farina said.
Were in a similar position to last. Theres still a lot to be played for, a lot of points up for grabs.
The belief in the group is good. I had a word to them this morning. I said if we can manage to perform in the manner in which were doing, things will change.
Thats the way football is. It can be cruel sometimes as we saw Friday night. The confidence is there. We just have to keep going.
Id be the first one to be very concerned if we were playing poorly and not creating chances. Then youve got a worry.
Queenslands poor record at Suncorp Stadium has Minniecon and Zullo befuddled, with both of the budding talents saying they couldnt understand while the hallowed ground seems to plot against them.
Our record away from home is better than our home record. Hopefully we can go down there and get a win, Minniecon said.
I dont know. I dont know whats going on.
Zullo said the Suncorp hoodoo was something the club needed to shake but stressed the side always feels comfortable running out on home soil.
Suncorp is amazing for me to play at. I just dont know what it is about Suncorp. It is a bit of a hoodoo now but I suppose eventually its got to change, Zullo said.
Ten wins out of 35 games is amazing. Everyone loves playing at Suncorp. I dont know what we have to do to get a win there.
Charlie Miller and Danny Tiatto are the early week injury concerns but Farina believes both will be fit to take on the Victory on the weekend.
