A man who lived at a Glenmore Park home where police found weapons including a pistol, shotgun, rifle and revolver stashed inside a cardboard box in the garage did not know the weapons were there, a court has heard.

Police said they seized the firearms, along with a crossbow, Taser device and more than 200 rounds of ammunition, during a search at the Ewan James Drive property on Friday.
They also allegedly discovered more than 11 grams of cannabis and some steroids.
Scott Strachan, 47, faced Parramatta bail court charged with numerous firearm and drug offences, including four counts of possessing an illegal firearm, on Saturday.
Solicitor Martin Killen told the court Mr Strachan "had no knowledge" of the guns found in the cardboard box.
Mr Killen said his client was a hard worker with strong community ties.
Police said the firearms were a risk to community safety.
"Clearly the offences are potentially very serious, particularly in the current climate when gun violence is so high."
They said Mr Strachan had a locked safe where the weapons could have been stored.
Mr Strachan applied for bail but it was refused by Magistrate Mark Shepherd.
He will appear at Blacktown Local Court on Tuesday, February 4.
