STEVE BIRCHALL:

On Williams being back in the team:

''It's a position that gets highlighted a fair bit, if the team's winning a lot of the time you get praise in the halves but if you're losing it comes back on you as well. I've got to make sure I find that consistency. There's no good playing one good game and one bad game. That's probably been the biggest learning curve over the last 18 months, just the difference in the physicality that comes with being in first grade.''

Highlights this year:

''The match against the Dragons was a massive game, just winning the way we did and being involved with that and part of another game beating St George.''

What team did you want to play for as a kid?:

''I'm pretty lucky I'm from Cooma so I always supported the Raiders. I was a mad Raiders fan growing up. We'd come up here and play on the Sunday and go to the footy Sunday afternoon. I was really lucky.''

On Mal Meninga:

''He's awesome. He doesn't say a lot but there's that aura about him, he's just a massive bloke and really enjoyable to have around.''

Are you looking to stay?:

''I'm lucky where I can be so close to home. I know a lot of the boys from Queensland and New Zealand and they find it fairly hard living away from home, but I'm just down the road. If I had my way I wouldn't be going anywhere.''

Bronson Harrison

JENNIFER POEHL:

Did you consider union instead of league?:

''I did play a bit of rugby union through school even though I went to a rugby league school. I actually went through NSW and got picked up by the Waratahs Academy, but league was always in my heart. I was signed up pretty young and stayed along with the Tigers.''

What is your routine before a game?:

''I'm big on my preparation. The week leading up I've got to make sure I have an extra icebath or stretching session. I like to do a little bit of boxing a couple of days leading into a game to blow my lungs out and help me focus. I tick off little boxes so that I know I've done everything possible before game day. Obviously sometimes you get restricted because of injury. Then you get down to little things like listening to music and writing out my role. I got that from Tim Sheens, he was big on writing out what you should be doing and things that motivate you. I try and put it all together, not make it a big list but try to keep it pretty simple and easy. Get through all that and it helped me find some consistency.''

What would you be doing if you weren't playing footy?:

''My brother's a bricklayer, my dad's a bricklayer, so if I didn't have rugby league maybe I would have gone done that path. But having rugby league I've got to enjoy a bit of education along the way, I've got myself involved in some business stuff, so I'll probably head along that line. I've got a security company, Leader Security it's actually doing pretty well in Canberra. I've got a wholesale bakery we sell out to other cafes. I've got a bricklaying company with my brother, although he does it all we just work off each other.''

On his injuries in 2012:

''By far this has been my most disruptive year, it's been the hardest too. Injuries are not nice for anyone but I've had some bulging discs and it's started pushing on some nerves so you get a little bit of numbness down your leg and can't sleep properly. I've looked after it the best way I can. I've been going to acupuncture, physio, the osteopath.''

On his future:

''It's not my preference to leave, I know things have popped up in the paper along the way. I've got another two years but sometimes the decision's not always in my hands, so I'm not too sure yet. If the club would like me to stay that would be my preference.''

Blake Ferguson

MARK AND MICHELLE GRAHAM:

Why don't you like being interviewed?:

''I get myself in the wrong positions all the time. I put myself on a media ban for the last year and a half and it's been working so I'll keep to that I think. There's a lot of tough questions like when they ask about the next coach of the club and stuff like that, they're pretty tough when they're throwing the bomb questions … you get rattled sometimes.''

Do you enjoy Canberra?:

''I do enjoy living in Canberra, it's different to the beach I was used to in Cronulla but I really love it down here and I'm really enjoying my footy because I've got so many good mates down here. I've been here for nearly 18 months now, I'm really relishing being under David Furner, he's been coaching me pretty well and coaching me some new stuff.''

On his victory dance:

''I get a little bit excited because we haven't really been winning too many games.

''We're coming 11th, only two points out of the eight, if we can get a few wins together there'll be a few more of those dances. I handed the plate over to Edrick in Melbourne he's a dancer, but if he doesn't play first grade then I don't think anyone dances anymore because I've got sore hips.''

On the team's home performances?:

''I think our individual preparation at home probably isn't up to standards, I don't know mate. We definitely love being in Canberra, playing at home, playing at Canberra Stadium but it's just we haven't really hit the nail on the head yet.''

Edrick Lee

ADAM BRAAKMAN:

On going back to the under 20s:

''I'm just working hard in the 20s, trying to fight back and try to play first grade that's the ultimate goal. I've re-signed for another two years and I'm just trying to get back into the team and try to stay up there.''

Best part of NRL?

''Just playing against people who I watched on tele growing up. That was a big thing for me. To come up against Greg Inglis in my first game was a massive highlight for me and now I'm just working on my game to be a full-time first grade player.''

On playing at Canberra Stadium:

''A couple of years ago the Raiders had a fortress at home and unfortunately our away record is better than our home record now. But with these last couple of games coming up we really want to finish strong for the fans and hopefully cement a spot on the top eight.''
