Time for the Brumbies to find next gear

The Brumbies have showed they know how to win ugly, and now it's time for the players to hit top gear and show they can go up a level for a massive clash against the exciting Waikato Chiefs. The Brumbies secured two wins from a three week tour of South Africa and Perth, and will return to Canberra with top spot in the Australian conference. They beat the Free State Cheetahs 25-18, scoring three tries to two. But the matches they have played for the past three weeks have been completely different to what they will face against the Chiefs. The Hamilton-based side has scored 28 tries in five matches compared to the Brumbies' 19. Everyone thought the Brumbies were going to set the competition alight when they ran in seven tries in round one. But their games since then have been more of a grinding and gritty style than attacking and free-flowing rugby. The Chiefs have firepower in almost every position and the Brumbies will need to rise to the challenge if they don't want to let slip their strong start to the season.
