The Brumbies will roll out their best available team to play the Reds at Canberra Stadium on Saturday.

McCabe and superstar flanker David Pocock will make their respective returns from serious injuries.

McCabe hasn't played since breaking his neck in the Wallabies series against the British and Irish Lions in June last year.

It was the second time the hard-nosed back had broken his neck since November 2012.

In his first attempted comeback in a pre-season trial, McCabe got through just 10 minutes before he suffered a head knock.

But he impressed coaches in the Brumbies' trial last weekend when he played 70 minutes.

Marquee recruit David Pocock will be playing just his fourth game for the Brumbies after his much-hyped arrival last year.

Pocock ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament on March 2013 and required a knee reconstruction.

Brumbies great Stephen Larkham is preparing for his first game as the club's head coach.

World Cup winner Jake White quit the last two seasons of his contract, leaving Larkham and director of rugby Laurie Fisher to fill the void.

In other team news, Wallabies outside centre Tevita Kuridrani has served his International Rugby Board suspension and will return on the bench.

The Brumbies will have 11 Wallabies in their starting XV.

Henry Speight has also been cleared following a rib injury, while Sam Carter returns after a calf issue.
