France is usually the last stop for an ACT Brumbies player before hanging up the boots but Tom Staniforth is hoping it will launch his Super Rugby career. The former Canberra Grammar School student has been picked in the Australian under-20s squad which will compete at the Junior World Championships in France in June.

The 18-year-old lock will get a chance to test himself against the best international juniors and edge closer to his dream of playing for the Brumbies.
Jake White invited Staniforth to train with his Super Rugby squad during the pre-season, and the hard-working second-rower took his game to a new level.
Now he's been rewarded with a spot in the Australian junior side and he said his stint with the Brumbies had accelerated his rise.
''I've learnt heaps of little things about my game, it's been phenomenal and people are teaching you all the time,'' Staniforth said. ''Scott Fardy has been helping me a lot … I've really enjoyed it against men. I've got nothing to lose so I go as hard as I can.''
Australia take on New Zealand, Fiji and Ireland in the pool stages.
