In-form Canberra fast bowler Jason Behrendorff feels he's "ready to go" if he receives a call-up to the Australian team this summer.

The 24-year-old left-armer has been knocking down the door for national selection, leading to Western Australia coach Justin Langer endorsing his claims for higher honours in the shorter formats of the game.
After playing an important role in the Perth Scorchers winning last season's Twenty20 Big Bash League, Behrendorff capped off an impressive one-day competition with a career-best 5-27 in last Sunday's triumphant final against NSW at the SCG.
He finished the tournament with 11 wickets at an average of 16.36 and an economy rate of 4.08.
It continues an off-season where he was chosen in his first Australia A team and worked alongside fast bowling great Craig McDermott.
His experience at state level with Western Australia, on the international stage with the Scorchers in the Champions League, and Australia A, has given Behrendorff the confidence he can rise to the challenge of representing his country.
"I definitely do," he said.
"I honestly can't wait for the opportunity when it arises, so I'm looking forward to that.
"If the call-up came in the next couple of months or in two years' time, whatever it was, I feel I'd be ready to go."
Australia will need to draw on a deep rotation of fast bowlers to cope with one of the busiest home summers in recent memory.
It includes three Twenty20s and five one-day internationals against South Africa, four Tests with India, the one-day triangular series involving India and England, and the World Cup in February and March.
Langer believes Behrendorff has proven in the shorter formats that he deserves to be in the mix for the Australian team.
"Jason Behrendorff in T20 and one-day cricket now, he's as good as any of the left-armers going around," Langer said.
"He's up there with Mitchell Starc.
Behrendorff hasn't had much of a break in the past one year, playing with the Australia A team in Darwin and Townsville in the off-season against South Africa A.
"That's something I'll really cherish," he said.
"I got to play with some of the best players in the country and learnt from Craig McDermott.

Behrendorff made an immediate impact in the one-day final, taking the wicket of NSW opener Nic Maddinson in his first over.
He returned to get rid of Kurtis Patterson, Ben Rohrer, Gurinder Sandhu and Josh Hazlewood as WA claimed its first one-day title in more than a decade.
"It's a pretty surreal feeling," Behrendorff said.
"You always want to get the team off to a good start and it worked out perfectly.
"To take five wickets in a final is something that doesn't happen every day and I'm stoked I was able to do that."
He said experienced players in the WA team such as Adam Voges and Shaun Marsh had been invaluable for his development, and he also has a close relationship with Langer.
"We can chat about things openly and honestly," Behrendorff said.
"That's one thing that's really helped me in the past season and a half while [Langer] has been on board.
"You know exactly what he wants you to do and as a player it gives you great clarity to know if I keep performing well that selection will take care of itself."
Behrendorff's focus now turns to the Sheffield Shield arena – WA is keen to go one step better than last season when it lost in the final to NSW at Manuka Oval.
WA hosts Tasmania at the WACA Ground starting Friday.
