He's putting the pedal to the medal in his bid to win the Toyota 86 series but Canberra driver Cameron Hill still has time to usher in the next generation.

Hill is focused on closing the gap between himself and series leader Jimmy Vernon at Sydney Motorsport Park on Saturday.
But he has one eye on 14-year-old driver Lachlan Mineef as the youngster prepares for the Formula Ford Championships.
The partnership started through a mutual friend and when Lachlan and his father John Mineef were in search of a Formula Ford car, Hill handed over his old keys.
Not many 20-year-old's take on a mentoring role when they are trying to break into the elite ranks, but Hill is loving seeing his old car in action again and he wants to help Mineef launch into motorsport.
"Maybe not but I enjoy it," Hill said.
"It helps with your own driving as well, just staying focused on analysing driving and speaking to young Lachlan. If you're not in the car yourself, it's always good to be around it and involved.
"It's good to see my old car out there racing. Young Lachlan, he's only 14 and he's racing in the state championship to get some experience.
"Hopefully he can tackle the national series next year and we'll help him make his first steps into motorsport.
"He's doing really well so far and he's still very young, so who knows where it might lead him."
Hill jumped from 13th to second in the Toyota 86 series standings after dominating the last leg in Townsville, but still sits 136 points behind first-placed Vernon.
He still has plenty of time to chase down Vernon with three races in each of the final three rounds in Sydney, Bathurst and Newcastle.
Hill needs to be winning races to have any chance of stealing first place, but the door will be blown wide open should Vernon have a bad round.
Hill has completed the fastest lap in four of the five completed races in the series this year, and has notched up wins in five or his last six races at Sydney Motorsport Park.
"It's probably the closest to my home track for the series, two wins and pole position last year," Hill said.
"We've done a couple of test days and the pace looks really good. All things going well hopefully I'll get another strong result.
"It was good to bounce back in Townsville but we're still a fair bit behind Jimmy in points so we need to score well this weekend."
