Want to know what Canberra Raiders captain Jarrod Croker whispers to himself before he moves in to kick goals? Apparently it's "inside left post", reaffirming his aim. But maybe it should be winning post, given he's been riding his luck on the local harness racing scene. Croker is a part-owner in three horses which picked up victories for Goulburn trainer Brad Hewitt at Exhibition Park last Monday night. My Trial By Jury, Monterey Jack and Tullow got across the line to continue Croker's winning ways. "I think Jarrod has been in five or six horses with me now and they have all won. He has become a bit of a lucky charm for the stable," Hewitt said. "We both grew up in Goulburn and while we didn't go to the same school, we played for the same rugby league club before he started playing for the junior Raiders. Jarrod loves harness racing and he is out cheering on his horses whenever they are in and he isn't playing or training." Raiders halfback Sam Williams, also a part-owner of Tullow, is a keen punter who wears lucky Black Caviar budgie smugglers during matches.
