Canberra United midfielder Lori Lindsey hopes another television broadcaster steps into the breach left by the ABC and continues to promote the W-League to a wider audience.

United can secure its place in the finals when it takes on the Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium as part of a double-header with the A-League on Saturday.
The ABC announced this week it would cease coverage of the W-League at the end of this season because of budget cuts.
American international Lindsey said the coverage in Australia has been a vast improvement on the National Women's Soccer League in her home country.
"I have faith that something else will come out and they will still get some good coverage," Lindsey said.
"It's sad that the ABC (won't be covering the league any more) ... they've done a terrific job covering the games, especially women's sport in general.
"That is a bummer, but I have faith something else will come along and we get the coverage we deserve and it will continue to promote the game."
Apart from ESPN broadcasting the final six weeks of the season, Lindsey said the majority of games in the NWSL were streamed on YouTube.
"We did pick up fans from the live streaming, but I think TV coverage gets fans excited," Lindsey said.
"Moving forward, it's always the goal and that's the goal in the States as well.
"If the ABC is not going to be able to cover it, the W-League will be wanting to get something in place to continue the coverage and promote the sport."
Canberra is well rested having had a bye last weekend.
The break has given the team time to reflect on its 3-3 draw with the Newcastle Jets a fortnight ago, where Canberra conceded a goal late to miss out on a vital victory.
"Everyone knows (Saturday) is a very important game for us after we dropped some points in the last minute, which was a bit irritating," Lindsey said.
"The main focus is on being consistent in each game, but also in the entire game.
"We have some moments of brilliance then we have some lapses, so the focal point has been to be more consistent, which is why we finished last season so well."
Canberra is fourth on the table on 17 points and can finish as high as second if it collects maximum points from its final two games.
However, it could still be overtaken by Newcastle, which is in fifth on 13 points.
