Sheffield Shield team of the year member Rogers has been named in Tasmania's 14-man squad for the Shield final against the Queensland Bulls at Allan Border Field beginning on Friday.
Rogers has been one of the competition's leading all-rounders in his debut season, sitting third on the competition's leading wicket-takers list with 35 from nine games at an average of 17.31, with his best effort an impressive 4-9.
He has scored 296 runs at 24.66 to boot, with his high score a crucial 80 in Tasmania's final regular season game against reigning Shield champions Victoria that help send the Tigers to the final.
Rogers laughs just about everyone is about to surge past him in the wicket-taker rankings but all he cares about is the Shield dangling in front of the Tigers.
Tasmania are hunting for their first Shield triumph since 2012-13, which came when they got the better of Queensland in the decider.
