The Brave couldn't recover from conceding 10 goals in the opening two periods in Adelaide on Saturday night.
The loss leaves the Brave in sixth place on the Australian Ice Hockey League standings, three points behind the fourth-placed Adrenaline.
The Brave will be aiming to split their weekend series with the Adrenaline when they face off on Sunday at 4pm (AEST).
The visitors will be hoping for a quicker start.
They were caught napping from the outset as the Adrenaline raced to a 4-0 lead inside the opening eight minutes.
The Brave finally got on the board, but couldn't slow down the Adrenaline as they trailed 5-2 at the end of the first period.
The Adrenaline continued their attacking assault in the second stanza, piling on another five goals for a 10-3 advantage at the final break.
The Brave scored the first two goals of the third period to give themselves a sniff of a comeback, but the Adrenaline regained their composure to close out the game.
