It took just one fiery net session where she troubled Southern Stars all-rounder Erin Osborne for New Zealand international Lea Tahuhu to make her impact at the ACT Meteors.

Tahuhu will be looking to carry on that impressive onslaught when the Meteors open their Women's National Cricket League campaign against the Tasmania Roar at the Gabba on Friday.
The 25-year-old is one of several newcomers to the Meteors having followed White Ferns teammate Sara McGlashan to Canberra.
The Meteors suffered a blow when they lost Australian fast bowler Rene Farrell to the NSW Breakers, but Tahuhu fills the void.
She has an impressive international record, having taken 21 wickets in 27 ODIs at an average of 36 and 15 wickets in 16 T20 internationals with an economy rate under six runs per over.
Having arrived in Canberra on Saturday, Tahuhu didn't waste any time in making her presence felt in a competitive net session with fellow Meteors recruit Osborne.
"She was giving me a little bit of stick, which is always a nice welcome," Tahuhu said.
"Erin is a hugely talented player and to get her down here is awesome.
"For the looks of how we've recruited, it's an extremely strong side and I'm really looking forward to getting out there with the girls."
It is the first of three games in four days for the Meteors in the abbreviated 50-over competition, which has been changed to accommodate the introduction of the women's Big Bash League.
The Meteors will face Queensland Fire on Saturday and the star-studded Victorian Spirit side on Monday, with both games at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
"It's a crunch weekend the first weekend," Tahuhu said. "You have to get off to a good start and the squad is definitely capable of doing that.
"When I saw we were playing at the Gabba, I was rubbing the hands together a little bit. We don't get many bouncy pitches back home, so it'll be really good to see what they've got in them."
Tahuhu and McGlashan will be available for the first three or four games of the season before they return to international commitments for New Zealand.
The Meteors finished fifth in last year's 50-over format but are aiming to capitalise on their strong recruitment drive and reach the finals.
McGlashan said there were high expectations on the squad but knows it won't be easy to stop the likes of the NSW Breakers and Victoria Spirit.
"It was nice last year to be part of the team and it's great to be back for the second year," McGlashan said.
"We've gained a bit of experience with the likes of Erin coming down from NSW and picking up Lea as well.
"The team is looking really strong."
The Meteors will be again be captained by veteran Kris Britt, who was the team's leading run scorer with 278 runs at 46.33 last season, while Shooting Stars representative Katie Mack will be looking to build on her debut century last summer.
