The venue will be unable to host games on Saturday in the lead up to the NRL clash, meaning the usual two-day program has been scrapped.
Games will kick-off at 8am, with the last whistle to be blown at around 10:30pm on Sunday.
General Manager of Canberra Region and Community Rugby League Mark Vergano said condensing the program into one day made sense in allowing junior players the chance to play at Canberra Stadium.
A total of 16 games will be played on the day, with the under 15 zone 1 and under 16 zone 1 clashes shifted to Northbourne Oval on Sunday afternoon.
"The wonderful gesture by North Canberra (under 15), Queanbeyan United Blues (under 15), Woden Weston (under 16) and Gungahlin Bulls (under 16) teams to play their matches at Northbourne Oval is an absolute credit to their clubs and the league," Vergano said.
"They have allowed other teams the opportunity to play at GIO Stadium in a selfless and noble gesture to our other competing teams."
