But in case anyone forgot, he took just 32 seconds to send a stunning reminder when he knocked out Ehsan Shakeri to win the MASA world middleweight championship at Capital Fight Show 11 on Saturday night.

Moxon has some of the heaviest hands in the sport and after landing a few heavy blows he "saw it in [Shakeri's] eyes" - his opponent was out before he hit the canvas 32 seconds into the first round.

It was the 29-year-old's first bout in six months and he got his second taste of world championship gold five years after his first.

Why has it been so long between drinks? For quite some time Moxon wasn't in a good place - but everything is different now.

His heart is in kickboxing again.

"To be honest with you it wasn't in the last two years, even when I fought [Canberra boxer] David Toussaint here last time, I definitely wasn't in a good spot," Moxon said.

"No excuses, lost the fight, I just wasn't in a good spot. I just wanted to prove what I'm capable of. I knew I could do it, I'm only 29 years old and including boxing and kickboxing that was my 70th fight."

Moxon puts the turnaround in his life outside the ring all down to his partner Lena and his three-year-old daughter.

They were in each other's corner during some tough times on a personal level and now he has her to thank for his return to the top.

"Just working that through that together as a team and coming out on top to prove how strong we can be," Moxon said.

"What I've gone through in the last two years with my daughter and ex-partner is harder than any fight I've ever had. This is easy compared to what I've gone through."
