Bai went down to Jessica Moore in straight sets while Keir fought back to beat Olivia Key 4-1 in the third set.

The Velocity went down 2-1 when Alexandra Nancarrow lost 4-1, 4-0 to American Jennifer Ellie, but Tyra Calderwood levelled the tie again, beating Amber Marshall.

In the other doubles match, Bai and Nancarrow won a tight first set 5-3 in a tiebreak, but lost the second set and the deciding tiebreak.
