Not because they lost - because the lights literally went out and forced two SEABL games to be cancelled at Belconnen Basketball Stadium on Saturday night.
The Canberra Gunners were scheduled to face the Ballarat Miners in their season opener but a power supply caused a row of stadium lights above the basket to black out.
The men's clash was canned and officials hoped the problem could be resolved in time for the Canberra Capitals Academy's game against the Ballarat Rush - but the women's match suffered the same fate.
