Water polo teams from across the territory will converge on the iconic venue on Saturday for Water Polo ACT's grand final day.
Civic Pool has been the host of Canberra water polo since 1955, but the sport could be forced to move with plans to close the pool permantely.
The dive pool is leaking an estimated 46,000 litres a day, with the ACT Government having spent about $100,000 re-filling the pool.
Civic Pool has hosted a number of significant tournaments, such as the Australian club championships, Canberra Dolphin national league games and the Australian country championships. Water Polo ACT will hold a gala day to mark the occassion.
Finals get underway from 8am, with cross-town rivals Nordek taking on Tuggeranong Vikings in the women's first-grade and men's first-grade finals at 1pm and 2.15pm respectively.
