Wests were in the box seat for victory until they dropped their guard to let in the equaliser inside the final 10 minutes of the match at the National Hockey Centre.
Legge-Wilkinson said it was disappointing to drop points in those circumstances, especially with so much hanging on the result.
"I'm not sure of other results this weekend, but it does make it very tough for us and we'll have to rely on things to go our way,'' Legge-Wilkinson said.
"It's sort of been that way the whole season for us.
"We've been conceding goals when we shouldn't have and it's cost us.''
Meanwhile, defending champions Central fought off Goulburn 5-3 in an entertaining encounter, United beat Old Canberrans 3-1 and the Tuggeranong Vikings went down 4-3 to Albury.
In the women's competition, St Pat's defeated United 5-0, ANU accounted for Albury 3-0, Central beat North Canberra 5-1 and the Tuggeranong Vikings are in top spot after a 4-1 win against Old Canberrans.
