Mijovic will join former Canberra teammate Alex Bunton at the Lightning after both decided to turn down offers to stay with the Capitals.

The Capitals signed Bishop last week as superstar Jackson's tall partner, but they will need another recruit to complete a tall-timber trio as Canberra aims to get back in the WNBL finals.

Jackson's heir apparent Elizabeth Cambage was unveiled as the WNBL's newest powerhouse recruit on Wednesday.

The 203-centimetre 22-year-old centre has signed with the Dandenong Rangers and will go head-to-head with Jackson when the WNBL season starts later this year.

The championship winner, Australian Opal and league most valuable player has set set herself the task of slam-dunking in a game this year.

Cambage shocked the crowd, her teammates and her rivals at the London Olympics two years ago when she became the first woman to dunk at the Games.

“Right now I’m jumping 10 inches above the rim, jumping from a two-foot start, so hopefully I can get my stuff together and we can get it done,” Cambage said.

“That is what we are working towards but I get really nervous about dunking in games because if you miss a dunk it is the most embarrassing thing a basketballer can do – I just need to get over that and show everyone how it’s done.”

Cambage has played in China during the past two WNBL seasons, reportedly making $100,000 or more a month for the four-month Chinese Basketball Association season.

Cambage admitted Chinese clubs made wild last-ditch attempts to sign her in the past few weeks but she turned down a big pay day to return home.
