Canberra boxer Dave Toussaint will fight for the Australian middleweight title, shelving plans to shine on the world stage to take care of unfinished business.

The only thing standing between Toussaint and national glory is Queenslander Liam Hutchinson (11-4-1), with the pair set to touch gloves at Capital Fight Show 12 on September 8.
Toussaint is unbeaten in his professional career, but the scary thing is he's never been more driven to win a fight.
Boxing politics meant some controversial losses cost Toussaint amateur Australian titles and an Olympic Games appearance.
But the unheralded 25-year-old sent a message to the boxing world when he outclassed Shane Mosley Jr just weeks after battling back from shoulder surgery.
His glowing performance on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn blockbuster saw him move to 11-0 at Suncorp Stadium in July.
He won't have to go that far this time around as he looks to add to his eight professional knockouts at home at the Hellenic Club in Woden.
"The Australian title has always been something that's just out of my reach," Toussaint said.
"Three times I got the silver medal, I didn't get the gold [as an amateur]. It's good to finally get another opportunity. I'm doing everything I can to be ready for this one and I'm as focused and as driven as I've ever been to get the win.
"The Aussie title is a great accolade to have. After the last good performance then if I just keep winning and keep taking the W's, then who knows what will happen.
"The Australian title, we've been trying to get it over the line for about 12 months now so it's good to finally have the opportunity in a few weeks time to go for it."
Toussaint's sudden rise to prominence on the Australian boxing scene meant promoter and matchmaker Nick Boutzos battled hard to find an opponent before Hutchinson stepped up to the plate.
The easy option was to knock over an easy opponent but Toussaint has never been one to take the easy road - if he's going to do something, he's going to do it right.
His attitude and work ethic has seen him dubbed a future world champion by Australian legend Danny Geale.
Hutchinson has previously fought for an Australian title but couldn't add it to a resume boasting the WBA Oceania and Queensland state middleweight championships.
Hutchinson has been in the ring with some of Australia's best fighters including Wade Ryan and Shannon King, but the 24-year-old has lost his past two fights.
"Diamond" Dave took his chance to shine on the world stage when he took care of Mosley at Suncorp Stadium and another bout on a similar card looks likely in the future.
Should WBO welterweight champion Horn and boxing legend Pacquiao meet again, Toussaint is a chance to feature on the undercard once more.
But the limelight hasn't changed the unassuming Canberran that quit his job as an electrician to chase his boxing dream.
"Looking back on it, it was great to be a part of the card but I don't really see anything has drastically changed from it," Toussaint said.
"Getting the Aussie title is a huge opportunity for me and then hopefully if the rematch comes through I'll be on that card as well.
"There was a bit of talk about how the winner could go further and you never know what could happen, but I'm taking it one fight at a time.
"Eventually the plan is the world stage, but at the moment I want to take the Australian title."
