Not everyone agrees with the widespread sentiment that a super fight between Floyd Mayweather and the UFC's biggest star Conor McGregor would be a lay-down misere for the former.

McGregor's coach John Kavanagh has a vastly different view on who would prevail should the bout, expected to be worth around $US100 million ($A130 million) to each fighter, go ahead.
"I think Conor would whoop his arse," Kavanagh told Fairfax Media from Ireland.
"Of course I'm going to say that, I'm the coach.
"Since I've started this sport I've been told everybody's going to walk over us. I was told you couldn't run a fulltime MMA [mixed martial arts] gym, I was told you couldn't train somebody to fight in UFC, I was told you couldn't train somebody who's going to win a UFC belt.
"We keep doing it but."
Rumblings of an unlikely boxing match between Mayweather and McGregor have been bubbling away for almost a year and both fighters have reportedly loosely agreed to terms, although nothing has yet been made official.
In one corner is 40-year-old Mayweather, unbeaten in 49 career starts and one of the greatest boxers the sport has produced.
McGregor on the other hand is the UFC's largest drawcard, the company's lightweight champion who has also held the featherweight crown. He's a stand-up fighter with a powerful left hook and the ability to switch stances from his natural southpaw.
"It'll be the most watched sporting event in history," Kavanagh said.
"Don't think I underestimate the challenge for a moment.
"I remember all these stories about [MMA fighter] Jose Aldo who was 10 years undefeated champion, heard all these stories he was going to do this, he was going to do that. Thirteen seconds later the man was unconscious.
"We're certainly not not seeing it as the Himalayan type challenge in combat sports but you know what? That's what gets us up in the morning."
McGregor destroyed Aldo in 2015 to land the UFC Featherweight Championship, knocking the Brazilian out with his trademark left hook after 13 seconds.
Kavanagh said the only fair fight between McGregor and Mayweather would be under boxing rules.
"If he [Mayweather] comes back for a second fight under MMA rules, I'll put my girlfriend in against him, she will take him down and strangle him in two minutes flat," Kavanagh said.
Kavanagh will be in Australia next month for two speaking engagements, in Sydney and in Melbourne, and to promote his book Win Or Learn.
