The Bluebags were vying for their second title after winning the SCG Cup in 2011-12, but four-time winner Hamilton-Wickham rolled them by 14 runs in the dying overs at Albion Park on Sunday to clinch a spot in the decider.

The Bluebags were bolstered by the inclusion of Sydney Thunder Big Bash all-rounder Blake Dean.

However, Hamilton-Wickham smashed 203 off its 50 overs with Sam Webber resurrecting his team's innings late.

Webber scored 58 off just 51 balls to lift Hamilton-Wickham above 200.

Dean did his best to get Queanbeyan into the match, racing to 30 off 32 balls in the run chase before Webber ended his charge.

Queanbeyan then had a middle-order collapse before Michael Curtale gave the Bluebags a chance to win.

Curtale (55 off 59) was instrumental in setting up a thrilling end to the match with the Bluebags needing 30 runs off the last six overs.

But Hamilton-Wickham's experience won the day, taking Queanbeyan's last three wickets for 15 runs.

ACT Comets coach and Queanbeyan veteran Mark Higgs was superb with the ball again, claiming 3-33 off 10 overs.

The Cricket ACT one-day competition will resume on January 5.
