Bartlett capped a spectacular day of T20 cricket with his grand-final performance as Wests-UC cruised to a 42-run win against Albury-Wodonga under lights at Manuka Oval.

Earlier in the semi-final against Tuggeranong, Bartlett smashed 52 off 27 balls and took 1-25 as Wests-UC scored a seven-wicket win with eight balls to spare.

He backed it up with 46 in the grand final - including four sixes, one of which went almost 100 metres - and 4-32.

Wests-UC, the defending two-day competition champions and one-day grand finalists of last year, were desperate for T20 revenge after Albury-Wodonga ended their charge to the trophy last season.

''We didn't lose a game all season last year until Albury beat us in the semi-final so it was good to get one back on them,'' stand-in captain Bartlett said.

''It was a bit of motivation because we were disappointed with the way we went out last season. We definitely wanted to prove ourselves and now we've got the two-day finals to go.''

Wests-UC got a massive boost before the semi-final when regular captain Ben Oakley returned to Canberra from Twenty20 Big Bash duties with the Adelaide Strikers.

Oakley, who has played one game for the Strikers this season, arrived in Canberra on Saturday night and will fly back to Adelaide on Monday. The left-arm opener took 1-17 in the semi-final and 1-20 in the grand final.

Rain threatened to cancel the match before Wests-UC set defending champion Albury-Wodonga a massive run chase in the grand final, smashing 187 off their 20 overs.

Beau McClintock (68 off 44 balls) anchored the innings while Bartlett tore the attack apart.

Early wickets to Dale Riley (2-35) put Albury-Wodonga on the back foot and, despite a fighting 53 from James McNeil, the visitors were never in the contest.

The Strikers play their last game of the Big Bash this week and Oakley hopes to be back in Canberra for Wests-UC's two-day match on Saturday.

''It's definitely rewarding coming back and being a part of this,'' Oakley said. ''You feel like a bit of an outsider coming back after six or seven weeks away. But it's good to be back with the guys and we'll aim for the two-day finals next.''

Meanwhile, Cricket ACT has finalised the top four for the one-day competition.

Ginninderra was convinced it had made the finals after a thumping double bonus-point win against Wests-UC on Saturday.

However, Ginninderra was relegated to fifth because of its negative net run-rate, despite finishing on the same amount of competition points as Tuggeranong and Queanbeyan. Ginninderra had a net run-rate of -0.25 and was just pipped by Queanbeyan on 0.045.

Weston Creek-Molonglo, Eastlake, Queanbeyan and Tuggeranong clinched the play-off spots.
