Goalkeeper Jakob Cole, Jordan Tsekenis, Sam Ossato (Erindale College), Josh Gaspari (Daramalan College), Nathan Tidmarsh (St Francis Xavier College) and Nikolas Popovich (Narrabundah College) all earned higher honours and will be part of an international tour later this year.
Brittany Palombi and Nicole Jalocha were selected in the Australian schoolgirls team after helping the ACT to a fourth-placed finish.
It's the ACT's first national schoolboys title since 2001 and the largest contingent in the Australian team since former Socceroos striker Mark Viduka and veteran midfielder Mark Bresciano, who were based at the AIS, featured in the early 1990s.
The ACT completed an unbeaten campaign with a 3-1 win over South Australia on Friday, to go alongside a 3-2 victory against Victoria and draws with NSW (0-0), Western Australia (1-1) and Queensland (0-0).
Meanwhile, an under-strength Woden Valley is attempting to hang on to a finals berth in the men's Canberra National Premier League.
A tricky run into the play-offs begins with a daunting trip to Deakin Stadium to face ladder leader Canberra FC on Sunday.
Despite picking up a meagre three points from a possible 15 in its past five games, fourth-placed Woden Valley still holds a six-point buffer over its nearest challenger, the Cooma Tigers.
Woden Valley coach Dean Ugrinic admitted it would be a difficult task to contain the dangerous Canberra FC given his side's lengthy list of unavailable players. Regan Walsh has glandular fever, John Gibson and Conor Nolan are suspended for a week and two weeks respectively, while Goran Mukevski and Liam Walsh are also unlikely to play because of injury.
''It's an opportunity for some younger guys against a very good side, but we're certainly not going to put all our eggs into this game,'' Ugrinic said. ''We're trying to get those guys 100 per cent right for the remaining fixtures. I still believe we can scrape enough points to get us over the line to make the finals.''
The Tigers can reduce the gap when they take on the Monaro Panthers at Riverside Stadium, while second-placed Canberra Olympic should be too strong for Tuggeranong United at O'Connor.
In Saturday's only fixture, the AIS rounds out its inaugural season in the Canberra NPL against bottom-placed Canberra City at Hawker.
