Football Federation Australia announced on Wednesday that the Matildas would face the Football Ferns on June 13 and 16.
The first game will be played behind closed doors at the AIS, while the second will be at McKellar Park.
That will be followed by a European tour with international friendly matches against the Netherlands, Dutch club side Ado Den Haag and world number-five ranked France.
Matildas coach Hesterine de Reus is looking forward to her first matches in charge of the Matildas against quality international opposition.
“The first matches against New Zealand are very important to us as the only way to check on our status is by playing international matches,” de Reus said.
“I am very happy where the players are at the moment. There is a good energy within the group and we are making progress step-by-step.
“Initially we had nearly the whole main playing group together for the first training camp, but with a number of players recently heading overseas to play, we now have a wider group of players to choose from.’’
A 22-player squad, including Canberra United trio Sally Shipard, Michelle Heyman and MacKenzie Arnold, will have a four-day training camp at the AIS from Thursday to Sunday.
