New Canberra Grammar director of rugby Adam Fahey hopes to rebuild the school's reputation as a nursery for future ACT Brumbies and to usher in a new generation of female players.

Canberra Grammar will host its second sevens tournament on Saturday, with teams travelling from as far as North Queensland for a chance to win the boys and girls open and under-15s divisions.
Former Queanbeyan Whites and Uni-Norths Owls coach Fahey has started in a newly created role to oversee the school's rugby program.
Tom Staniforth and Peter Kimlin are products of the Canberra Grammar system, as well as rising Brumbies playmaker Will Goddard.
"There are three things we're really focusing on. One is to be the best they can be at all times, respect and thirdly to enjoy rugby and what it has to offer," Fahey said.
"We want to increase the numbers of players, increase participation. We want to build it so rugby becomes prominent again in the school, I want it to become the No. 1 sport. I've got a responsibility to do that."
There will be 43 teams competing for the sevens title, with matches starting at 8.30am and the finals to be finished by 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Brumbies returned to training on Friday to start preparations for their clash against the Canterbury Crusaders in Christchurch next weekend.
The Brumbies' hopes of being a contender this year are dangling by a thread, but the club will take time away from training on Sunday to go to Wagga for a gala day with more than 1300 children.
