Munoz poached Canberra Olympic strikers Jeremy Habtemariam and Michael John, and brought back goalkeeper Josh Lagudah following a US college stint.
Gungahlin will know where they're at before the season starts on April 6 as they face reigning treble winners Canberra FC in the Charity Shield at Deakin Stadium on Friday night.
The Charity Shield is contested between the reigning champions and Federation Cup winners, but because Canberra won both last year the game will be a rematch of the Cup final.
"I'm feeling very positive, we've assembled a really good team and reduced the gaps from last year in terms of goal scoring especially," Munoz said.
"We brought in some highly experienced player and now have a really good mix of youth and experience, which hopefully gives us the edge this year.
"John and Jeremy are hungry players looking for a change and looking to score goals. They're at another level and will put on quite a show in the league this year.
"Canberra FC set the benchmark last year so it will be a great gauge for us this week to see where we’re at and more importantly how much we will be able to compete this year."
