But the face of Australian tennis says his debut Wimbledon appearance has ignited his desire to lift the trophy.

Kyrgios' profile continues to grow after beating world No.1 Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon and rocketing up the rankings to be No.66 just 18 months after he was outside the top 800.

But the attention has taken its toll, with the 19-year-old having to withdraw from some commitments to keep a low profile and recuperate before he launches another international assault next month.

Kyrgios has also confirmed Davis Cup coach Josh Eagle and Tennis ACT coach Todd Larkham will combine to tutor the rising superstar, after the tag-team coaching role was revealed in Fairfax Media on Saturday.

"People keep talking about how my life will change forever and although I feel exactly the same and, believe me, my mates and family will not allow me to change ... I have noticed a change in the way people are towards me now," Kyrgios said on his website.

"I notice a lot more people stare and point, others come and say 'well done' and whatnot, which I prefer. I've had a lot of press to do this week and in the end I was so tired we pulled the plug on it as I was so worn out."

Kyrgios will go to Melbourne this week to start training before playing in Toronto and finalising preparations for the US Open.

His manager, John Morris, spent last week sifting through a wide range of sponsorship offers after the former Daramalan College student burst on to the international stage by beating Nadal.

On the court Kyrgios is known as the "Wild Thing" and oozes confidence, but off it he prefers to keep out of the spotlight.

He has spent his time in Canberra catching up with friends, playing computer games and eating sushi and Chinese foods.

"It was great to come home to my mum [Nill] and brother Christos,'' he said. "The reception at Canberra Airport was so special and to see so many people come out to greet me was more than I could have asked for.

"It was very humbling actually and I felt a little embarrassed that they were there for me."

Eagle will oversee Kyrgios' coaching and take charge when he is overseas, while Larkham will run the program from Australia.

Kyrgios said his first Wimbledon campaign had sparked his desire to one day be crowned champion.

"It sounds weird to saying playing Rafa and beating him in four sets was not my best tennis of the tournament," he said.

"It was a fortnight I will never forget. I loved my Wimbledon experience this year and my love affair with the place and trophy has started.

"I want to be Wimbledon champion and that feeling and desire is what will drive me on in the tough times."
