An 18-year-old man has been refused bail this morning after allegedly fleeing from police in a station wagon bearing stolen registration plates.

The man faced ACT Magistrates Court today charged with numerous offences including driving on the footpath and driving in a dangerous manner.
It has been alleged that at about 11.55am Friday, police spotted the station wagon on Dorrit Black Crescent, Lyneham and attempted to stop the car but the driver fled police.
A pursuit ensued that did not exceed speeds of 80km per hour.
Police said the man was later found hiding in bushes on Fairweather Circuit, Lyneham and the car was located nearby where it had collided with a fence.The 18-year-old will face court again on Monday.
