Mourners have gathered at Islamic prayer and condolence services to remember Sabah Al-Mdwali, the young mother allegedly murdered by her husband in their south Canberra home this week.

It was the third unrelated slaying allegedly linked to family violence in the ACT in as many weeks, after the deaths of Tara Costigan in Calwell and Neal Keith Wilkinson in Wanniassa.
The family was known among the capital's tight-knit Islamic community and Ms Al-Mdwali, 28, had ties to the Canberra Islamic Centre in Monash.
It was there that members of the Muslim and Yemeni community offered their condolences at a service dedicated to the mother-of-three on Friday night.
Earlier they gathered for an Islamic funeral prayer service after traditional Friday prayers at Canberra Mosque in Yarralumla before relatives attended a private burial.
Women outside the mosque after the service said they didn't know Ms Al-Mdwali personally but had come to pay their respects in the wake of the tragedy.
"It's very sad and very shocking, and we're just thinking of the children now," one woman said.
Tara Costigan's uncle, Michael Costigan, and two other family members attended the condolence service after they were invited by Ms Al-Mdwali's family.
Members of the non-profit organisation Hiraa Muslim Sisters of Canberra posted details of the service on their Facebook page, with a message that read: "May Allah grant our sister recompense for those painful last moments of her life, in the serving of justice in this world and unimaginable peace in the nearness to her Rabb in the next world."
Maged Mohommed Ahmed Al-Harazi, 34, was charged with the murder of his wife Ms Al-Mdwali, either on Monday or Tuesday.
Mr Al-Harazi did not enter a plea or apply for bail when he faced court on Thursday and will next face court in April.
Neighbours said they heard shouts and screams coming from a Knoke Street home where Ms Al-Mdwali's body was found in the early hours of Tuesday.
She had suffered critical head injuries and several stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
"As with any crime scene, it was horrific," ACT Policing acting Superintendent Harry Hains said on Tuesday.
Police will allege an edged weapon was used in the attack.
No one else was inside the house when police and paramedics arrived.
Mr Al-Harazi reported to Tuggeranong Police Station on Tuesday.
A bunch of pink roses had been laid outside the Gordon house as police continued their crime scene investigation on Thursday.
