About 10.30am, ACT Policing received a report a house fire in Carina Street, Ngunnawal, where smoke was seen coming from the building. ACT Fire and Rescue put out the fire within 30 minutes.
AFP Forensic Services will assist ACT Policing in an analysis of the scene and the circumstances surrounding the fire will be investigated by criminal investigations detectives.
The ACT Emergency Services Agency said the house was vacant at the time of the fire.
ACT Fire and Rescue were doing "ventilation operations" at the house as of 11am Sunday.
Two fire pumpers went to the scene. No injuries were reported.
