Voters living in Canberra's south will have to wait a week longer than northsiders before they can cast their pre-poll votes locally, after electoral authorities kept booths in Woden and Tuggeranong shut this week.

Pre-poll centres were open for business in Belconnen and Turner on Tuesday but the Australian Electoral Commission kept its booths shuttered in Gungahlin, Tuggeranong and Woden, and Labor is blaming a lack of resources for the shut-out.
