Up to 60 small business owners in Hume are threatening a class action against Telstra after losing their internet connections, causing them to lose trade for more than a week and leaving them with angry customers.
Their payroll was disrupted, customer bookings were lost, building supplies disrupted, car repairs stalled, and overseas export negotiations broke down.

The Matildas have put aside their pay dispute with Football Federation Australia and returned as a squad for the first time in four months with the goal of ending a 12-year Olympic Games drought.
Players accepted an interim pay deal from the FFA so the three-day camp at the Australian Institute of Sport, and the upcoming tour of China at the end of the month would go ahead.
It was the first time the Matildas have been together since they lost 1-0 to Japan in the quarter finals of the women's World Cup in Canada on June 27.

Canberra's celebration of craft beer is returning for a third year in 2015.
Thirty Australian and international brewers will come to Beer Week and the Beer Day Out for beer-themed events that include dinners, trivia nights, "tap takeovers" and meet-and-greets with brewers.
Co-organiser of the festival, Anthony Young from Plonk Beer and Wine in Fyshwick, said there was a healthy craft brew community in Canberra, with many local venues supporting both local and national craft brewers.
