A man is fighting for his life after a two-vehicle crash in Brisbane's south on Saturday morning.

Police said initial information suggested that, shortly before 2am, two vehicles were travelling southbound on the Pacific Motorway at MacGregor when one of the cars crashed into the rear of the other vehicle.
A 30-year-old Upper Coomera man who was driving the vehicle in front was trapped for a period of time before being removed and taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
Police will allege the male driver of the other vehicle fled the scene on foot and was found by police in nearby Bleasby Road about 2.15am.
The 35-year-old from Oxenford was transported to hospital for assessment.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing with officers appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam vision to contact police.
