A Queensland police sergeant from the South Eastern Region has been suspended after in relation to sexual misconduct while off duty.

The officer is the subject of an investigation regarding improper off-duty sexual conduct towards females.
"In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct," police said.
"This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated."
In an unrelated matter, a Queensland Police senior constable was dismissed this week after a disciplinary hearing about several issues including destroying evidence and giving a false statement.
The 56-year-old male senior constable was from the Northern Region.
