The party wants to change anti-discrimination laws to make sure people are not subject to "frivolous discrimination claims" or punishment for using gender-based language.

The University of Queensland has disputed reports students have been marked down for using words such as "mankind", arguing it had no gender-neutral language policy or list of banned words.

However, KAP Queensland leader Robbie Katter said his party would introduce a private member's bill to protect people who did not want to use gender-neutral language.

"It doesn't prevent people from using more gender-fluid language, but what it does is protect people from adhering to some of those social norms that they've become accustomed to," he said.

"We know that this is a trend that's happening out there and I think anyone with any sort of good sense of intuition can see where this road is leading.

"There's sort of an attitude that's seeping into politics that after the same-sex marriage plebiscite, there's like this blank cheque on inviting in every radical ideology now into the Parliament that addresses any sort of like issue."

Mr Katter pointed to legislation which passed overnight which meant transgender people no longer had to divorce their partner if they changed their gender.

"There was nothing in the plebiscite that gives a mandate for radical gender ideologies and a complete attack on social norms and values," he said.

The KAP bill would also ensure businesses would not be punished for providing infrastructure, services or facilities which were provided exclusively for men or women - such as toilets - or refusing to provide facilities that were not gender-based.

The KAP's internal policy document also criticised the removal of gender from Queensland driver licences.

Mr Katter said he would like to see gender returned to the state's licences, but said it was not the intention of the bill.

"We're just trying to preserve a place where people are able to use, and not forced, into what we see as radical ideological positions, that some people don't accept," he said.

"If they want to provide a gender-neutral toilet, you're not stopped from doing that but on the other hand, you're not forced into using those things because some people aren't accustomed to that and not comfortable with that.

"So I think this is a more tolerant way of approaching this issue."

The bill is expected to take about two months to draft, with plans to introduce it during the September sitting of Parliament.
