One year on from the Queensland election, the Palaszczuk government says it has ticked off 42 per cent of its promises.

But the achievement was derided immediately by the LNP, with its social media account claiming Labor had cancelled the tentative Parliament sitting date in December because it had "run out of things to do".
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk tabled progress reports on 2015 and 2017 election commitments and said they made "excellent Christmas reading".
"They say that we keep our promises, Mr Speaker, and we deliver," she said.
The 2017 report shows Labor made 498 commitments to Queenslanders ahead of last year's election and 213 had been fulfilled.
Delivering abortion reform was among the promises delivered.
"We went to the election promising to end a century of discrimination against women," Ms Palaszczuk said.
"We gave women the right to be in charge of their own bodies and their own healthcare in the privacy of their doctor's surgery and, together, we have delivered."
Some of the fulfilled promises were:
- Maintain a Minister for Seniors
- Write to the Prime Minister to notify him that the Queensland government will exercise its "veto" and will not support the $1 billion Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility loan for Adani's proposed rail line
- Continue to lobby the federal government for a permanent increase in the location tax offset from 16.5 per cent to 30 per cent
- Introduce a human rights act (subject to finalisation)
- $107 million over three years to ensure Queensland meets the demand for quality teachers across the state
- Consider establishing a parliamentary inquiry into wage theft
- Reintroduce legislation to ensure the ban on political donations by property developers applies at both the state and local levels of government
Among the commitments not yet begun were:
- Implement flexible work practices for teachers and school leaders, including those managing family responsibilities
- Review teacher workloads to address excessive and unproductive work for teachers
- Establish a funding agreement in an 80-20 partnership with the federal government to deliver more than $1 billion of funding annually.
- Accept the decision from the judicial review on the New Acland coal mine expansion
- Develop a Queensland housing code as part of the Queensland Building Plan
Ms Palaszczuk pointed to land clearing laws, $6 million for 7000 kilometres of fencing and a cyberbullying taskforce.
"We've restored laws that protect our environment and our Great Barrier Reef that still uphold a farmer's ability to feed their stock in the grip of a crippling drought," she said.
Ms Palaszczuk talked up jobs, building new schools, upgrading hospitals, widening the M1 and the government's electricity prices plan.
"We're hiring more doctors, more nurses, more teachers, teacher aides, firies and paramedics," she said.
"Twice now, as recently as a year ago, we have asked the people of Queensland what they want.
"They have told us, we have listened and we are delivering."
Thursday is the final sitting day for 2018, with MPs back in Parliament after the Christmas break on February 12.
