Racing NSW chief executive Peter V'landys has worked wonders with Sydney racing, now Queanbeyan trainer Mike Petrovic hopes he can do the same for his home track.

Petrovic has four runners at Queanbeyan on Monday - Quiano Queen and Onsettling Down (benchmark 58 handicap, 1000 metres), Pepita (maiden handicap, 900m) and Stolen Gift (maiden plate, 1460m).
But he wished there was more racing at Queanbeyan.
There used to be races once a fortnight, but that's been cut back to 12 meetings per year - less than half - after the club fell into financial difficulties.
Petrovic was full of praise for V'landys, who came up with the $14 million Everest - the world's richest race on turf - and has brought more prizemoney than ever into NSW racing.
"We just don't have enough racing at Queanbeyan. When I first started out we had 26 meetings," he said.
"It's a bit disappointing what Racing NSW have done, but what can you do.
"Somebody should do something about it. If we don't talk about it I don't think Mr V'landys knows that we exist."
Petrovic was hoping for a Quiano Queen and Onsettling Down quinella.
He said Onsettling Down had performed well in Sydney, where he's had his past two starts, and he had a win in his last start on his home track five weeks ago.
Quiano Queen has been consistent, backing up a win at Queanbeyan on Boxing Day with a third and two seconds.
But she's also been a bit of a problem child as well.
"I'm hoping they perform well tomorrow. I'll take a quinella any day," Petrovic said.
"[Quiano Queen's] done well. She gets carried away a little bit in the stalls. When you take her to the races she's a bit of a handful.
"She got scratched there a couple of meetings ago at Queanbeyan because she was rather naughty.
"I'm hoping she'll behave tomorrow and be on her best behaviour and hopefully they'll run one-two."
