A soldier has been accused of smuggling a 16-year-old girl into Brisbane's Enoggera Barracks in the boot of his car and raping her.

Police arrested the 24-year-old man on Thursday and charged him with one count of rape.
It will be alleged the rape occurred on January 14.
The accused was released on bail and will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 26.
The Department of Defence confirmed the arrest of the Australian Army member and said it was assisting with the Queensland police investigation.
"As the matter is under investigation by the Queensland Police Service, it would be inappropriate for Defence to comment," the department said in a statement.
"Defence takes all allegations of unacceptable behaviour very seriously and investigates these matters thoroughly.
"Due to the Privacy Act, Defence is unable to provide details on current or former serving members without their written consent."
